What is it?

  • As part of National Children’s Dental Health Month, GKAS is an annual volunteer program that provides free educational, preventative and restorative services to children from low-income families. Many of these children are unable to eat, sleep or pay attention in school, ultimately risking more serious health problems because of their poor oral health.
  • Greater Houston Dental Society in partnership with the UT School of Dentistry at Houston has provided complimentary screenings, treatment and oral health education for deserving children.
  • A GKAS Day is expected to be held on Friday, February 26, 2021. Further details will be available as they become developed.

In 2021 The Texas Mission of Mercy will be in Houston.  The Greater Houston Dental Society Foundation hopes to help fund this worthy event as well.  More information will be provided in the near future.
